A Note on the Contributors
Jacqueline Black is currently in her second year of teaching at Lady Margaret School, a voluntary aided girls' school in Parson's Green, London. She teaches KS3, GCSE and A-level throughout the school, in addition to running the school's Gospel Choir, ABRSM Grade 5 Theory group and various other activities. Jacqueline also enjoys singing in the Chelsea Consort, a choir based in Sloane Square. Having left Channing School in Highgate, London, Jacqueline studied music at the University of Bristol where she majored in pastiche composition and ran the university's "Fun Choir" in her third year. After graduating with BA Hons (2:1) in 2001 she completed the PGCE course at the University of London Institute of Education and was tutored by Professor Robert Kwami and Pauline Adams.
Robert Mawuena Kwami is a full professor in music at the University of Pretoria, Director of CIMA and editor of
Intercultural Music and Intercultural Musicology. He is also a Visiting Fellow of the University of London Institute of Education and Director of Technology of the Pan-African Society of Musical Arts Education (PASMAE). Prof. Kwami has over 70 publications including books, and articles in academic and professional journals; he has written over 30 compositions, some of which can be accessed on his Sibelius Music website at:

. His main areas of research include Intercultural Musicology, African Musics and Music Technology.
